This 19th century South Kensington mews property was transformed into a contemporary house, tailored for modern living.

Light, space and a sense of transparency are the features of this re-developed property. The extensive use of glass and steel enhances the feeling of openness.

Kevala Stairs manufactured and installed three glass staircases with stainless steel strings and LED lights to provide accessibility throughout the house. Emphasis was put on creating simple and clean lines in the staircase design in order to complement the interior architecture and to reflect the light which further illuminates the property during the day.

This striking design not only allows light to penetrate throughout the treads and banisters, but also brings a sense of transparency and a feeling of floating.

Strategically placed glass floors on each level contribute to the overall effect.

Another significant feature of this award-winning contemporary property include a pneumatic cylindrical lift supplied and installed by our sister company Newmatic Elevators. This round lift provides stylish access to all floors.
