These seven flights of breath-taking glass and walnut stairs provide access around this exclusive 6 bedroom residence in one of the most desired locations in Putney. 10 Westmead is a new development showcasing the ultimate in bespoke fixtures and fittings of modern living.

The client was unhappy with the original stair proposals from the architect and asked Kevala Stairs to suggest some alternative layouts.

The spacious entrance hall features a large flared staircase that rises to the mid landing. The first tread is a magnificent 2500 mm wide. On reaching the mid landing, there are two short connecting flights at each end, leading to the first floor master bedroom suite and two further bedrooms. There are further three sets of stairs leading to the upper floor.

There is a full height window giving views into the rear garden. This large window prompted us to use frameless glass balustrading throughout and glass risers to give as much light as possible and keep the garden views unobstructed.

All treads are constructed from 50mm solid steamed Black American Walnut to complement the interior walnut doors and walnut clad landings.

Lower ground floor staircase winds all way down to the gymnasium and swimming pool complex.
