Windsor Lodge, Keepers Walk (KS1700)
Materials: Oak, wrought iron, stone
Location: Virginia Water
Windsor Lodge at Keepers Walk, Wentworth is a beautifully appointed luxury mansion with very high specification of finishes through out the large living space of 9,500 square feet, spanning over four floors.
For this project, we were asked to design and manufacture an oak and wrought iron stair and gallery balustrade, based on a picture supplied by our client.
Part of the brief was that the balustrade must not contain newel posts. We have designed a continuous oak handrail with up ramp/mitres (no newel posts). Two volutes on the ground to the first floor stair with one volute on the basement to ground floor stair.
The same design oak handrail was fitted to the outside of the stairs, attached with brackets.
